About Christine Schiflett

I was born in 1974 in Long Beach, California, and spent part of my childhood in a suburb of Loas Angeles and Riverside.

I discovered my love from crocheting when I was 12 years old. I used to watch my grandma crochet, and when I was ready to learn, I asked her to teach me. She told me that one of the hardest parts of learning was how to hold the hook. I soon realized there are two common ways to hold it-netiher is right or wrong, just a matter of preference.

At 13, I moved to Texas and grew up in Grand Prairie, part of the DFW Metroplex. For a brief time, I also lived in Corpus Christi before eventually settling in Fort Worth with my wonderful husband, Patrick.

As a young adult, I had to set aside my craft due to financial constraints. But after getting engaged to Pat, he encouraged me to pick it up again-something I’m so grateful for. His support helped me rediscover my passion for crocheting, and I haven’t looked back since!
