Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share a heartwarming story about a friend of mine who also happens to be one of my customers. A while back, I was listening to a local radio station here in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. (The station has since been sold and is no longer around.) While tuned in, I heard the DJ, Dave Moore, talking about wanting a Texas-themed item. I called in and told him all about my crochet business, Christine’s Crochet Closet, and mentioned the website I had at the time. To my surprise, Dave placed an order for three Texas Flag Potholders! He even asked if I could personally deliver them—and of course, I was happy to do so. A little while later, Dave let me know that the three people he gifted the potholders to absolutely loved them. In fact, his wife still uses hers to this day! That kind of feedback warms my heart and reminds me why I love what I do. The picture included in this blog is one of Dave and me together. Dave now hosts the afternoon show on 90.9 FM KCBI, and I’m so grateful we crossed paths through crochet and community. If you're looking for something handmade, especially Texas-themed, I’d love to create something for you too! And remember—if you don’t see it listed, just ask. I can always make custom items. Feel free to call me at 817-204-7427 or email me at info@christinescrochetcloset.shop to place an order or ask questions. Thank you for supporting handmade and local! PS. I was wrong on my X account.
